Yoga is designed for everyone. It is designed for you, in the exact condition you are in right now as you are reading this sentence. Yoga is beneficial for every single person regardless of their shape, size, age, fitness level or disability.

As Rodney Yee says, "The most important pieces of equipment you need for doing yoga are your body and your mind". And with these two pieces of equipment you will start the journey of yourself, through yourself, to yourself.

As long as you can breathe, you can do yoga.

Bio

Maraike Harten

RYT200

I’m originally from Hamburg, Germany but moved to the U.S. more than 15 years ago in pursuit of new challenges. I had my first experience with yoga a few years ago when a friend invited me to try out a new Bikram Yoga studio that had just opened. I instantly fell in love with it and ever since it has enriched my life in so many different ways that it has become therapy for my mind and body.

I decided to pursue the Yoga Teacher Training because I wanted to share this good feeling with others and hopefully open a new path for people to realize how this practice could change their lives physically and mentally.

I believe that everyone has the capacity to practice yoga and that’s why I have amongst others things specialized in yoga for children/adults with special needs. Working with these unique individuals is the most rewarding work one can imagine.

As B.K.S. Iyengar says ”The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind & the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life”. So let me guide you on how to create the symphony of your own life and join me on this wonderful journey.
